Road to Community Change – A New Regional Agenda PDF Print E-mail
We're doing things differently
Central Kentucky faces serious challenges. A growing number of families are struggling, and forced to turn to organizations trying to serve more people with dwindling resources.

Your United Way is responding with the Agenda for Change - an aggressive new plan to equip Central Kentuckians with the tools and resources necessary to help themselves, to provide for their children and to realize stable futures.

The Agenda for Change centers on three focus areas – education, income and health – identified by the community. We are currently finalizing the Agenda for Change outcomes and strategies and will announce details later this year. Our new action plan will be put into action very soon and will guide United Way's work for the years to come.

Thanks to regional input
United Way spent more than a year conducting the largest outreach effort of its kind in the region. More than 1,000 Central Kentuckians shared comments with us through surveys, one-on-one interviews and community forums.

One common theme echoed consistently throughout - that all people across the Bluegrass have the educational and economic opportunities needed to succeed and to thrive.
