Toni Watts is one impressive woman. She recently earned the George Hearn Award from United Way of the Bluegrass in honor of her work to share the United Way message and inspire her colleagues to engage in their communities. The award was originally established by long-time United Way supporter, volunteer and board member, Fred Kissling, to recognize an outstanding campaign volunteer. He named the award in honor of George Hearn who served as President of United Way of the Bluegrass from 1974-1993.
Toni is a dedicated mother to her son, Landon. When he was diagnosed with a genetic disorder, Toni looked to Child Development Center of the Bluegrass, a United Way of the Bluegrass partner agency, for support. Landon is thriving, but don’t take our word for it. Listen to Toni’s story below.
We are grateful for Toni’s hard work to help make an impact in Central Kentucky. Thanks, Toni!
