Volunteer Impact Partnership

The Volunteer Impact Partnership (VIP) is a partnership between United Way, local school districts and the Central Kentucky community. VIP works to pair volunteers with local students who are struggling academically with a focus on schools in our region that are classified as “needs improvement” based on KPREP test scores.

The goal of VIP is to provide a consistent, stable relationship with a child or group of children in order to help them advance academically.  Our goal is to match a student with a tutor/mentor who will agree to meet with the student for one hour or more each week throughout the school year.  We are looking to pair a student with a tutor to ensure consistency - allowing for a strong bond to be developed which can help a child succeed both inside and outside of the classroom.  We will attempt to match participating students with a tutor/mentor who has academic strengths or experiences where the student is struggling most.

Click here to join VIP as a tutor or mentor or call 2-1-1 now to be connected with an organization that has volunteer opportunities that vary to meet the needs, interests, experiences, insights and skills you have to share with youth in your community.
