United Way fights for the health, education and financial stability of every person, in every community.
In the Bluegrass we LIVE UNITED against poverty. We have a bold goal that 10,000 families be more self-sufficient by 2020. To achieve this, we are focusing on four key pillars of success.
- Basic Needs: Addressing basic needs, injustices, inequities, lack of resources and other barriers to help families move forward.
- School Readiness: Leading initiatives to improve the quality of childcare, family support and providing early intervention while equipping parents to make positive choices for their families.
- Student Success: Helping children and youth achieve their potential by emphasizing education as the foundation for personal fulfillment, economic security and societal contribution.
- Financial Stability: Investing in economic empowerment so low-to-middle income families have the resources and support to meet needs and weather emergencies in order to make investments toward a brighter future.
You can join in our efforts to achieve the Big Bold Goal in one of three ways: give, advocate and volunteer. Together, we can make a difference in Central Kentucky.
It Matters... to the families. Thanks to investors in United Way of the Bluegrass, families can receive a range of services through supported programs.
