Bourbon County Supporter Spotlight: Andrew Beckett

As we continue our journey around Bourbon County, today we’re excited to get to know Andrew Beckett!

Andrew has been the CEO at the Paris-Bourbon County YMCA for a year and a half, serves on United Way of the Bluegrass’ Community Impact Task Force, and is a member of the United Way of the Bluegrass Bourbon County Board of Trustees.

Let’s learn more about Andrew in our question and answer session below!

What made you realize you had a passion for your field of work?

I’ve always been this way. When I was young, I was always involved with sports teams and being a leader there. I’ve always been into serving the public and got into public health while at Transylvania University.

What is your favorite part about working for the YMCA?

The people, 100%. That’s why I do it, that’s why we’re all here. It’s a mission-driven work and you have to believe in what the YMCA stands for and the kind of work that we do.

What about working with the YMCA inspires you?

My staff would be the easiest answer. You won’t find a group of people who are more dedicated to the cause, who are always putting everyone before themselves. It’s something as simple as if a child forgets their folder at school, somebody will go get it. It’s just little things like that. Every day there’s something and we all try to step up and do those kinds of things to help out.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Baseball. I played all the way through college, and now I coach my son’s team. So when I’m not working, I run the baseball league in Georgetown and coach the teams. If I’m not doing that, then I’m spending time with my family.

Fast questions:

What five words would you use to describe yourself?

Energetic, passionate, funny, caring and generous.

Are you an early bird or night owl?

Early bird, for sure.

If you could time travel, would you go back in time or to the future? What would you do?

I’d just like to go ten, twenty years in the future and see what my kids are up to.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

I’d like to be able to heal sick people.

Thank you for your service as a Board of Trustee and Community Impact Task Force member, Andrew! We appreciate your dedication to making an impact in Bourbon County and beyond!

The inside look of this BBD2077A is looking luxurious one. It contains too much space for loading multiple items in them. Why people don’t share complete www.volquetescaba.com details with other people, so that, they can easily buy them?
