#ShareYour24

How can you #ShareYour24 and LIVE UNITED as we celebrate Campaign Kickoff 2020?

Here are some simple ways to get involved:

GIVE

Your gift will help impact thousands of people in our local community as we fight for the basic needs, education, and financial stability of every person in Central Kentucky. Our community needs us now more than ever before!

Click here to make an online gift of $24 or more on or before September 24 - OR text UWBG to 91999 to support UWBG and help us kickoff our annual campaign today!

ADVOCATE

Help us spread the word about our work and mission! Follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and share our posts with your friends and followers. By commenting, liking and sharing our posts, you can help us reach more people who may not know about our work, but are impacted by what we do. Your shares and voice will help us make an even greater impact in Central Kentucky!

VOLUNTEER

To celebrate our kickoff, we are hosting a volunteer project that is easy and fun for the whole family and can be done from home! We are asking volunteers to package personal hygiene bags that include any of the following new items:

  • soap

  • shampoo

  • deodorant

  • feminine hygiene products

  • toothbrushes and toothpaste

Simply package items in a zip-top bag any time between now and September 24, and drop them off at any of the following UWBG partners:

  • HOPE Center - (360 West Loudon Avenue, Lexington; September 24th or 25th, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.; please call 859.252.7881 upon arrival for contactless delivery)

  • Catholic Action Center - (1055 Industry Road, Lexington; September 24th drop off; Please drop off items at the far left door facing the road, and wear a mask during the drop off)

  • Simon House - (101 St Clair St #2, Frankfort; Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.)

  • Elizabeth's Village - (207 South Hamilton Street, Georgetown; Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.)

For every hygiene bag that is donated, our friends at TeamKY Masks will donate 1 CDC approved face mask to be given to someone in-need.  (For questions, please email Jenn.Goble@uwbg.org.)

We have a goal to see 240 hygiene bags donated on or before September 24 to honor our kickoff and community, and we know that our amazing supporters and volunteers will step up to help make this a reality!

Take photos of you, your family, or friends shopping, assembling or holding bags, and tag UWBG (our social links are below), OR share a post telling your friends why you support United Way of the Bluegrass. Use hashtag #ShareYour24 to be entered to WIN some great prizes!
